This was my final exam peice on Habitat. Really pleased with it. Its gigantic i think its 120cm x 80cm. I used whitewashed some envelopes and old beurcratic forms. Then individually stencilled over 100 post it notes with two slightly different stencils. I then used bull dog clipped a massive pleace of perspex over it.
All to emulate my idea of loss of identity and being entrapped by large faceless corporations, and also the weak attempts of people to be a bit different. You know how people stick shit like trolls to there compluters and pictures of family to their walls. Its so depressing.
Ive had to photoshop the picture a little to deal with the perspective as it is so big.
I really like this image, you portrayed the feeling of it really well. I wish I could do your art exams. (No such system over here, just boring art history for me.) What ever did you do for the next 3 hours?
I like the posted note idea, but the light blue ones fade into the background and it slightly loses it's effect. I think using postit notes is a good idea because people in the office use them (although I have 3 on my screen right now at home..) but the colours are rather bright and contrast from idea. I like the little 'to do one' at the bottom, nice extra touch.
thanks for the critique. i think i spent the other 3 hours writing an evaluation and just sculcing about. i know what you mean about the blue ones. i couldnt find any ones that where flourescent like the others. also that "to do one" is a sick note
